Starting in a small shop in the heart of Brooklyn, New York's little Italy repairing espresso machines and selling imported espresso from Italy - the reputation for expert and quality service was born. After establishing a precense in the Italian communities of the NYC metro area, Gennaro began to explore his childhood passion of roasting coffee. With years of trial and error and many trips to Italy, he finally mastered his skill in Neapolitan style roasted espresso, Caffe' Gennaro was born. Caffe' Gennaro is enjoyed by avid espresso drinkers everywhere enjoying its creamy complexion and nutty sweet aftertaste. We have devoted drinkers who take it back to Italy because they couldn't find a better espresso to drink! Gennaro then began to start experimenting with different espresso blends and roasting gourmet coffee from the freshest green beans from select parts of the world.

Today, G&M Coffee Roasters is a full service coffee company ready to provide you with the best in coffee equipment, equipment service, coffee service and fresh roasted coffee. Using hand selected green beans, our coffee is roasted fresh daily in small batches with zero added oils or additivies* to bring you the freshest cup of coffee to ever touch your tongue.

Naples best coffee in the U.S.A.?

That's right! Our espresso is roasted and blended in a closely guarded Neapolitan tradition passed down from generation to generation. We are the first generation to pioneer it in the United States and come second to none to any stateside roaster.



How do you compare to Italian espresso imported from Italy?

Most Italian espresso's from Italy are excellent and delicious. The catch is, they're only excellent and delicious when they are freshly roasted and packed. Our advantage is fresh espresso roasted and blended to the true Neapolitan standards as they do in Italy, stateside on a daily basis. Between the time coffee from Italy takes to ship and sit in a warehouse awaiting distribution, it's already lost most of its freshness qualities that make it that excellent cup of espresso. To battle this problem, Italian roasters are forced to add additives to try and preserve the freshness and taste of the espresso at the cost of altering the taste which in turn gives you that bitter espresso taste, diluted crema and an aftertaste that will displease your taste buds.

A message from our founder

My passion for coffee started when I was only eight years old in my city of Naples, Italy. Next door to my house was Don Gennaro, a small roaster for generations. The wonderful smell of the fresh roasted coffee captured me and drew me to his place. As i watched him roast, he used to confide in me all his secrets in making the perfect Neapolitan espresso. Now that I am here in America and I have my own roasting company, G&M Coffee Roasters, Inc., I am able to recreate and offer the same authentic Neapolitan blends that Don Gennaro used to roast, thirty eight years ago. G&M Coffee Roasters, Inc., established in 1983, in the heart of Brooklyn's little Italy, is a family owned business. We take pride in providing to our customers the highest quality gourmet coffees. Only the finest green beans are selected. From the tree to the cup we control the quality of each type of bean. Our fresh daily roasted coffees give us a superior advantage over other Italian imported coffees; by the time they arrive to the United States their aroma and freshness are already dissipated. Our specialization is espresso Napoletano, Cafe Gennaro, dedicated to Don Gennaro, my mentor. It takes only one cup to appreciate its flavorful taste.
